1. Important Payment Notice
These Payment Terms describe payment-related responsibilities for Brivium users and are not legal, tax, accounting, banking, or financial advice.
2. Two Separate Payment Relationships
Brivium supports two different payment relationships. First, your business may pay Brivium for software access, subscriptions, plans, or add-ons. Second, your customers may pay your business for quotes, deposits, invoices, and services. These are separate relationships and may use different Stripe accounts, payment flows, statements, receipts, fees, and dispute processes.
3. Brivium Is a Software Platform
Brivium provides software tools that help create quotes, invoices, customer portals, and payment requests. Brivium is not the seller of your services, not your customer's contractor, not a bank, not an escrow agent, not a money transmitter, and not responsible for the quality, delivery, completion, refund, tax treatment, or legality of your services.
4. Stripe and Connected Accounts
Payment processing may be provided by Stripe. To receive customer payments, your business may need to create, connect, verify, and maintain a Stripe account. Stripe may require identity, business, ownership, tax, payout, bank, risk, or compliance information. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's applicable terms, including any connected account or payment processing agreements Stripe presents during onboarding.
5. Your Responsibilities as the Business
You are responsible for payment amounts, quote and invoice accuracy, customer authorization, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, disputes, failed payments, taxes, customer communications, service delivery, licensing, permits, and compliance with laws and Stripe requirements. You agree not to use Brivium to request fraudulent, misleading, unauthorized, or unlawful payments.
6. Payouts, Holds, and Account Restrictions
Payout timing, payout availability, reserves, holds, account restrictions, verification requirements, chargeback handling, and payment method availability are controlled by Stripe or the applicable payment provider. Brivium may display payment or payout information received from the provider, but Brivium does not guarantee payout timing or availability.
7. Fees, Refunds, and Disputes
Stripe or another provider may charge processing, payout, dispute, currency conversion, or other fees. Your business is responsible for reviewing provider fees and deciding whether to issue refunds. Refunds and disputes may not reverse all provider fees. Chargebacks, retrieval requests, customer claims, and payment disputes are your responsibility as the business that sold the goods or services.
8. Payment Data
Brivium does not store complete payment card numbers, bank account numbers, routing numbers, or similar credentials on our servers. Payment providers may store and process sensitive payment information under their own security and privacy programs. Brivium may store limited payment metadata such as transaction IDs, status, amount, timestamps, provider name, and related quote or invoice references.
9. Platform Billing
Payments you make to Brivium for subscriptions, plans, add-ons, trials, or software access are governed by the checkout, billing portal, app store, or other billing flow shown at the time of purchase. These platform billing payments are separate from your customer payments and do not make Brivium responsible for your customer transactions.
10. Customer-Facing Payment Disclosure
Brivium may display customer-facing notices explaining that payments are securely processed by Stripe on behalf of the business issuing the quote or invoice. Your business remains responsible for ensuring that payment, refund, cancellation, tax, and service terms shown to your customers are accurate and lawful.
11. Contact
Payment questions related to Brivium software can be sent to support@briviumapp.com. Payment processing, verification, payout, or dispute questions may also need to be handled directly with Stripe or the applicable payment provider.
